Bi and Daniella are working on the Tre Project using archive footage of Penlee lifeboat, helicopter rescues and footage of the terrible gales that can blow up around the someties savage coast of West Penwith. Biyan's father recounts his memories of his time in the ambulance service and in particular the terrible events in 1981 when members of the Penlee lifeboat service lost their lives trying to rescue seamen in force ten gales. A sensitive piece edited usung the interview, archive footage and peaceful music to evoke the mood. Barbara Santi of awen productions provided the footage and the inspiration for the idea and is keen to see the completed project in the new academic year. At the moment Biyan needs to cut the edit down as she is learning that not all the research gathered needs to be used. Selection of material is a key skill and sometimes less is more. Considering the audience and the project that you are creating this piece for is essential.

Daniella's blog does evidence some of the primary research visits and iterviews and there is some description of the process. Blogs are regular but there needs to be analysis of progress and more detail to gain the higher mark bands. Bi's blog must be updated to provide a record of the production. It is easier to reflect as you are going along. Bi ensures me that she has edits ready to post but she would like to perfect them.
